At Guinness our social purpose is at the heart of everything we do and relieving hardship and poverty is one of the key themes of our approach to supporting the communities we build and manage our homes in.
BintiTo launch our partnership, we held a talk at our London office to discuss Binti’s work as well as the wider work Guinness is doing to tackle poverty.
At the event, speakers from Binti International talked about recent research that indicates that 1 in 10 girls in the UK can’t afford adequate menstrual products, many having to make a choice between food or menstrual products.
Michelle Birley, Customer Support Manager, also discussed the impact of the introduction of welfare reform and the barriers faced by many of our customers who are facing increasing levels of poverty and deprivation – and how our Partnership with Binti can make a difference.
