On Wednesday 11 March The Guinness Partnership received the Apprenticeship Employer Award 2015 from Blackburn College at an event attended by employers from across Lancashire. This award was in recognition of the outstanding dedication to partnership working and apprenticeships practiced by Guinness.

Sam Taylor, who is an Estates Services Apprentice and also a Guinness Customer from Cross Barn Grove in Darwen attended on behalf of Guinness along with Curtis Jenner, Estates and Ground Maintenance Manager.

Sam said: "I really enjoyed the awards event. I have just completed my Level 2 apprenticeship in Horticulture and I’ve been fortunate to gain a permanent contract with Upturn and to start my advanced apprenticeship too. It’s been a fantastic twelve months and I really want to thank the Lancashire A Mobile Estates team for helping me through."

Ian Simpson, Head of Access to Work, who leads our partnership with Blackburn College, added: "The award is for the dedication of the apprentices who have embraced the opportunity to study and develop their careers at Guinness. I am delighted we have won and the fact that Sam was able to attend the awards on our behalf is really special."
